I haven't researched it, but I bet there are many countries that do this kind of thing. It can't be done in the U.S. because too many right-wing lunatics would shout "socialism" and get it squashed immediately. I know you are in Puerto Rico, Michelle, so when I start my Puerto Rico Listo substack, I will champion the cause there 😉 Thanks for the comment!
Oh yes, risks alright. I have a car here, but I have taken your advice Mike. Not between cities at night. I've encountered cows, burros, horses in the road many times and at least in the day you have time to slow down.
And I've seen Los Ángeles Verdes on the side on the road quite a few times, but didn't really know much about them. Thanks for the good info. Now what was that number again? 078. I should remember that, just in case!
Glad you found it helpful, Ann! Since you are considering moving to Mexico, please let me know if there are any subjects you'd like to see me write more about! Thanks for subscribing, and for the comment 🙏
I knew about Los Angeles Verdes and I learned a lot more about them from you, Mike. Thanks! How wonderfully reassuring. Once upon a time, I drove with a friend from the northern border to Mexico City to Acapulco and back a slightly a different route. NOT one bad incident. Ok. So this trip happened in happier times - it was 50 years ago. My only fear was societal judgment so I wore a band on my finger to pretend I was married to my travel companion. Silly me.
I had no idea. How lovely. Thank you for letting us know!
Now, how do we globalize this idea/these actions?

Write that number down, Victor - and say hello to the burros 🙂
Another great insight into Mexico and what it has to offer that mist folks would never know about! What a great resource, thank you Mike!
Thanks Christy! I am to serve 🙂
So helpful Mike.
Thank you for sharing. I’m in consideration of moving to Mexico and felt it was best to do so without a vehicle.
Now I have more information and options. 078 thanks! Sharing this info. You are an Angel 😇

Sounds like a fun trip! Must have taken a while. Right now, I find myself craving a jugo verde, for some reason... Thanks for the comment!
Jugo verde: Provecho!
