As I read your question to us, Being and Doing as duality OR harmony comes to mind. The short answer, is yes! Do surprise us with stories of the fabric of the Mexican culture. I was not aware of this Mexican héroe and I am moved by his sacrifice. "Sacrificing" oneself for others to different degrees is a felt theme in my Mexican life. I have letters I wrote to my parents (that dates me!) while in college thanking them for 'their sacrifice' in sending me to a private college (even though, I earned a scholarship and work grant). They still had to pay $500 a semester. I will look for other themes in future stories.
I personally like variety. I like historical context especially when it’s relevant to a current date or event or news topic (like the election you wrote about). But understanding common street and city names is helpful too, unlike this comment is getting!
I enjoy the people stories. Keep up the good work Mike. Maybe this is your train piece... or are we still going to learn what happened to the railroads in Mexico.... All the best!

Yes, there are all kinds of sacrifices that people make for us, and we make for others. It is a continuum. Thanks for reading, and for the comment!

I’m kind of a street name nerd - glad you find the stories behind them helpful!

That was the train piece I was referring to. What happened to the railroads in Mexico will have to wait for another article 😉
Mike, yes interesting story. I enjoyed reading about historical events like this and the impact on today's world. Keep up the good work! :-)
Will do - thanks for the encouragement!
