And the people filling the roles seem to be extremely competent and logical choices, a sign that she is not just a politician paying favors to her fans, but a competent leader. I myself, though, hope the pesos per dollar goes up! 😁
Agreed, Christy - good to see gender diversity on her cabinet and across politics in Mexico in general. I expect you'll see more pesos for your dollar if/when the administration implements the judicial reforms they've got up their sleeves - it will generally be taken as bad news by the market, I think.

Thanks for the update Mike. I did indeed notice the sudden change in the exchange rate, as I am somewhat of a nerd in following it, although I have no idea whatsoever what cause these things. In this case, the timing, but the whys and wherefores were a mystery to me until now.
I'm looking forward to see how things go under new leadership in Mexico. So far, it seems that Mexico is becoming more progressive and committed to helping regular people.
Indeed, Victor - the political climate right now does seem to favor regular folks. That's a good thing, and they need to balance that with more evenly distributed economic growth to improve the lives of the working and middle classes.
